Super Duper burger is growing fast in San Francisco. Over the space of a few years they now have 6 restaurants around the city, and a further in neighbouring San Jose. Loved their branding, their stylish eye-catching logo was a welcome site on miserably wet day.
Inside I ordered the Mini cheeseburger, which I was pleased to find was not that mini – being a single-decker version of their 8oz double. As standard it came with lettuce, red onion, jalapenos, grilled onions, tomato and their ‘super sauce’, again a secret house recipe. It was a tasty patty and the sauce and toppings also hit the mark, it was also good to have the option to have jalapenos as standard, which gave it a nice kick. I did do myself some damage on this however, maybe it was my eagerness to try it, but when I squeezed for the first bite, the excess grease slightly burnt the side of my mouth. So take caution before diving straight in, as this burger does come with extra grease, not necessarily a bad thing.
