This LA-based outfit is causing ripples in the burger world in California. Founded in 2009, they’ve expanded rapidly from their original location in La Brea, Los Angeles to outlets throughout California and now New York and Las Vegas. There’s good reason for their success, they make great burgers.
I stumbled on their location in The Grove, Los Angeles, a shiny new place hidden away in this large modern shopping complex. I chose the aptly named Manly Burger with chedder, smoked salt-onions strings and bacon lardons, and this arrived. A decent sized patty, cooked to medium and a generous portion of onion-rings, and to top it off, the unami brading burned into the bun. This burger is certainly pleasing on the eye, top marks for presentation.
